The OEM process
Brief
You send target market, positioning, volume forecast and any artwork or reference units. We respond with feasibility and an itemised cost structure within 24 hours.
Sample
We build a branded sample on the existing platform in 3–5–7–15 days. You approve shell colour, finish, packaging and button behaviour.
Artwork & tooling
Print files, packaging dielines and barcodes are locked. Structural changes go to tooling review at this point, not later.
Production
Batch build with the standard test regime applied to your units: balance, soak, acoustic check, runtime sampling, outgoing audit.
Shipment
Carton marks, barcodes and export documents prepared to your importer's specification. Batch records travel with the goods.

How we protect your brand
Private-label buyers lose sleep over two things: someone copying the design, and the factory selling around them. Here is exactly how both are handled.
NDA before specs
A mutual non-disclosure agreement is signed before any artwork, brief or technical file is exchanged. It is standard procedure, not an optional step — and it protects both sides.
Mould ownership
A mould you pay for is your intellectual property, documented with a tooling ownership certificate issued at payment, and stored and maintained free of charge for up to three years from last use.
No cross-client sharing
Client moulds, drawings and briefs sit on access-restricted servers and are never manufactured for another buyer. Every staff member with project access signs an individual confidentiality agreement.
Market exclusivity
Catalog market exclusivity from 3,000 units a year for a 12–24 month renewable term; a mould you commission is yours permanently. Your territory and volume commitment are written into the supply agreement.
No retail, ever
We do not sell Slow Duo, or your branded product, to end consumers. We do not compete with our clients' channels — that is the whole point of the programme.
English contracts
Supply agreements are drafted in English with a defined product scope, territory, volume commitment and term, and can be adapted to your company's preferred contract format.

Unit price steps down with volume and is quoted per brief. Quotations are issued in USD and hold for 30 days; long-term supply agreements can include a price-lock of up to six months on committed volume. Documentary letters of credit are accepted above USD 15,000, and sample or modification fees are credited against your first bulk order.
ODM: from sketch to shelf
If the 25 existing models do not fit your brief, we design to it. Industrial design, mechanical engineering, motor selection, tooling and certification support are handled in-house — you receive a finished, compliant product with your brand on it, and 100% ownership of the new mould.
A design built on our existing motor and control platform reaches a custom sample in 7–15 days. A new mould reaches a first article in 45–60 days, or 75–120 days from brief to bulk shipment with three revision rounds included. The factory launches 3–5 new market-ready models a month, so the design team is not learning the category on your budget.
App control is not part of this platform by design — no app, no account, no pairing is a selling point at retail. If your market needs it, the same factory builds BLE 5.0 devices with white-label app capability, and we scope that as a separate programme.

Private-label and OEM questions
What is the MOQ for a private-label run?
300 units on existing moulds and standard colours. That rises to 500 units with your logo or a custom colour, 500–1,000 units for a new retail packaging or gift-box programme, and 1,000–2,000 units for a completely new mould. Once a SKU is set up, reorders drop to 200 units.
How long does an OEM or ODM project take?
Branding on an existing model runs a 15–25 day production lead time once artwork is approved. A modified design (ODM) runs 25–35 days. A brand-new mould runs 45–60 days to first article, or 75–120 days from brief to bulk shipment. Custom samples take 7–15 days; stock samples dispatch in 3–5 business days.
Can you match my exact Pantone colour and silicone hardness?
Yes. Pantone silicone matching holds to Delta-E ≤ 1.5, drawn from a library of 80+ historical colourways. Standard silicone is Shore 20A (soft, skin-like); Shore 15A (ultra-soft) and Shore 30A (firmer) are available from 500 units. We send physical swatches before you confirm a specification so you approve a feel, not a hex code.
Who owns the mould and the design?
A mould you pay for is your intellectual property. It is documented with a tooling ownership certificate, and stored and maintained free of charge for up to three years from last use. Moulds developed on our own R&D budget for catalog products remain ours and cannot be transferred — we will tell you which is which before you commit.
How do you protect my design before we work together?

What packaging can you produce?

Can I get exclusivity on my design or in my market?
Two levels. A mould you commission is never manufactured for another buyer — that exclusivity is permanent. For catalog models, market exclusivity is available from 3,000 units a year on a 12–24 month renewable term, documented in the supply agreement with a defined territory and volume commitment.
Can you add app control?
The Slow Duo platform is app-free by design — no app, no account, no pairing, which is a selling point at retail. If your market requires app control, the same factory builds BLE 5.0 devices with white-label app capability: your app name, icon, colour theme, custom vibration patterns and OTA firmware updates. Raise it in the brief and we scope it as a separate programme.
Is 500 units a low MOQ for private label?
Yes — for a branded dual-motor device it is on the low end. Most factories quote 300–500 units for stock colours and 500–1,000 for custom colour or packaging; a fully new mould starts at 1,000–2,000. Slow Duo keeps its 500-unit private-label minimum and 300-unit stock-SKU minimum low so a new brand can validate the product before committing to a large run.
How do I confirm you are a real factory, not a trading company?
Ask for what a trading company cannot easily show: the business licence, the factory address for a QIMA or SGS inspection, and the actual CE / RoHS / FDA / IPX5 / IPX6 / IP7 certificates with their report numbers. What is the difference between private label, white label and OEM?
Private label means your brand on our existing product with your logo, colour and packaging. White label is the same product sold under your name with no visible change to the device. OEM covers that plus custom branding and (on ODM) a modified or new design — and any mould you commission is 100% buyer-owned. All three start from the same dual-motor platform at Slow Duo.
Can I change the colour after the first order?
Yes, as a new production run. Colour is set at compounding, so a change means a new compound batch and that colour's own minimum. Stock in the previous colour is not returnable to us, which is why the colourway is confirmed on a physical sample before the first bulk run.
